This lighter is well made, adjustable, economically priced and reliable. It is, however, a lighter that should be used with some care to the amount of flame you set if for if you are using it with a pipe rather than a cigar. It does an excellent job lighting and relighting a pipe especially when the flame is adjusted to the right size. It is a windproof lighter as compared to other types of standard butane fuel lighters such as soft flame lighters. Overall I am pleased with the choice I made in getting this lighter and look forward to using it for some time.Fair life, otherwise nice. Poor customer service. Many pipers ( pipe smokers ) suggest not using torch lighters for pipes because the heat can potentially crack your pipes. As long as you don’t leave the flame on constantly I think it will be fine. I use this lighter to relight my tobacco when it’s low in the bowl. Works just fine. The tools on the lighter are also a great extra.
